Duties -Centre Lathe TurnerSetup and Operation:Set up and operate manual centre lathes for manufacturing pump components (shafts, casings, impellers).Adjust machine settings to achieve required dimensions and tolerances.Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure parts meet specifications.Tool Selection and Maintenance:Select and maintain appropriate tools and fixtures for machining tasks.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot lathe equipment.Quality Control:Measure and inspect components using precision instruments (e.g., callipers, micrometres).Identify and correct defects before production progresses.Documentation:Maintain records of production activities, including quantities and inspection results.Document any changes made during machining processes.Collaboration:Work with engineering and production teams to provide feedback on designs.Safety Compliance:Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.Problem-Solving:Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
