Position Core Profile: The Regional Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving sales efficacy, managing sales processes, and supporting the development of Market Leaders within the Central Region. This individual will collaborate closely with the Regional Vice President (RVP) and District Managers to implement strategic sales initiatives, ensure effective territory management, and facilitate the integration of new partnerships. The role requires a deep understanding of sales psychology, sales training, and change management to achieve consistent growth and success across the region.
Key Responsibilities: Ride Alongs and Reporting (Weekly)Conduct regular ride-alongs with Market Leaders and Sales Arborists, providing detailed reports on interactions, observations, and opportunities for improvement.Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to enhance sales strategies and customer engagement.Sales Management and Development (Daily)Collaborate with the RVP and District Managers to develop and implement regional and district sales strategies.Manage and coach Market Leaders on effective sales techniques, including running successful ride-alongs, sales meetings, and debriefs.Provide 24/7 sales support for large bids and strategic alliances, ensuring alignment with company goals.Support budgeting, territory management, and the renewals process.Represent the Sales department in Shared Services development activities, contributing to the overall success of the Central Region.Sales Skills Development (Daily)Coach the sales team on the SavATree system, including Commercial/Residential playbooks, CRM and other software tools.Drive the adoption and understanding of the Sandler sales methodology across the team.Monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as visits, pitching, selling, cross-selling, and close rates.Provide individualized coaching on territory development to Sales Arborists.Integration Management (Ongoing)Act as a mediator between SavATree service lines and new partnerships, fostering collaboration and successful integration.Serve as a change management champion, helping teams navigate challenging transitions and minimize disruptions.Manage the long-term aspects of integration, including budgeting, territory and account assignments, renewals, commissions training, and systems/process alignment.Sales Daily Management (Daily)Oversee commissions training and management for the region.Participate in and conduct interviews for Sales Arborists across the region.Conduct weekly debriefs with the RVP to strategize for the upcoming week and address key challenges.Review daily KPIs in partnership with the RVP to identify and address areas of weakness.Conduct branch GENBA visits to provide feedback on market conditions and support district and regional leadership in addressing issues.This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned as dictated by business needs.Experience and Qualifications: Proven experience in sales management, preferably within a multi-regional or national organization.Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a track record of developing and motivating sales teams.Deep understanding of sales processes and methodologies, particularly the Sandler sales system.Experience in managing large-scale integrations and driving successful change management initiatives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.Ability to travel as needed to support regional sales efforts.This role requires a proactive, results-oriented individual who is passionate about sales and committed to driving the success of the Central Region.
Compensation:
Ranges from $110,000 - $160,000 + per year, including bonus potential.
