Medipost Pharmacy is recruiting x4 Pharmacists on a 4-month fixed term contract for the Chronic Dispensing Unit which is being conducted for the Department of Health in the Western Cape. The Pharmacist will work in the prescription capture department and will conduct clinical and legal checks on the work completed by Pharmacist Assistants.
Primary purpose of the job
Assist with daily quality assurance processes Adherence to good housekeeping practices Investigation of, and accurate reporting of dispensing errors System monitoring, quality of work evaluation, timeous escalation of possible problems Time & attendance according to Company Policies Understanding of the WC CDU Penalty Matrix and Prescribing Policies Perform any ad-hoc projects which may be necessary for the WC CDU Production Department and the CDU at large To ensure accuracy in the capturing of prescriptions by the pharmacist assistants, through quality assurance in the form of blind checking. Providing clinical guidance to pharmacist assistants in regards with Pharmaceutical Practices/GPP and Provincial Rational Prescribing Policies and Notices Accurate capturing of chronic medication prescriptions Specific Requirements/Other important information
