Primary Purpose of the Job To ensure accuracy in the capturing of prescriptions by the pharmacist's assistants through quality assurance in the form of blind checking.Providing clinical guidance to pharmacist's assistants regarding Pharmaceutical Practices/ GPP and CCMDD prescribing guidelines.Accurate capturing of chronic medication prescriptions.Assist with daily quality assurance processes.Principal Duties and Responsibilities Key Performance Area Key Performance Indicators Operational and Quality Performance – Blind checking of prescriptions captured by pharmacist assistantsEnsure prescriptions captured by assistants are on the correct profile, patient, address, originating facility, contact details, and prescribed medication.Perform a drug utilization review on medication prescribed and interact with healthcare professionals where needed.Professional and clinical knowledge required in checking the capturing of prescriptions by pharmacist assistants.Accurate and quick responses to patient queries and diligence with follow-up work within SLA requirements.Accurate and complete handling of all profiles worked on as per Standard Operating Procedures.Customer Service and Call HandlingCalls received need to be handled professionally and with very strict confidentiality within SOP's and SLA.
Accurate and correct information to be provided to the patient and call attempts to be made according to SOP's and SLA requirements.Problem-solving abilities.Accurate data capturing and instructions to relevant staff if required.Queries appropriately followed up until finalized.Productivity and Availability Standards MetProductive and available according to hours as stipulated in contract.
Adherence to the expectation on blind checking outputs for the CCMDD Order Processing department.Minimum Requirements Grade 12B.
