Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a skilled Category Manager: Technical Procurement for a prominent engineering and manufacturing firm in Cape Town.
This role requires a dynamic individual who will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with the company's operational requirements and objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the technical procurement strategy across various categories to support project execution and operating costs.
Negotiate contracts effectively to ensure the best prices and terms while fostering strong supplier relationships.
Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to establish purchasing requirements and specifications.
Identify and mitigate risks in supply chain and procurement processes.
Continuously monitor supplier performance and implement improvement strategies.
Manage procurement budget and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in technical procurement or category management.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract management.
Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
Proficiency in procurement software and analytics tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
