Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a Category Manager: Paint / Anticorrosive with an established supplier in the coatings and chemical sector.
This role is pivotal in managing the procurement and category strategies for paint and anticorrosive products, ensuring that the company meets its operational and project goals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement category strategies for paint and anticorrosive products in alignment with the overall business objectives.
Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiations to secure optimal terms and strengthen supplier relationships.
Analyze market trends and pricing structures to inform procurement decisions.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and finance, to ascertain product requirements.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the procurement process.
Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines.
Manage category budgets and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in category management or strategic sourcing in the paint or coatings industry.
Proficient knowledge of paint and anticorrosive products and their applications.
Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
Proficient in procurement tools and software.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
