Category Manager

Who are we: A global leader employing around 5,000 people across 50 countries and serving industrial manufacturing, construction, and consumer markets.Who are we looking for: A category manager with product experience.What will you do: Develop and follow the Category strategy across consumer channels (FMCG, DIY, Stationery, Digital/Websites).Define Margin levels and Retail Price positioning for the Category.Collaborate on the NPD roadmap with R&D, other business units, and regions/countries.Manage global product development and maintenance within the Category.Design and update packaging layouts for consumer products.Oversee global innovation roll-out.Align best POS practices with the global consumer market.Support new market development.Ensure Margin levels and Retail Price positioning align with company expectations.What do you need: Minimum primary degree in Marketing, Business administration or a related field (advanced degree such as MBA, Masters preferred) Ability to think on Strategic levelGood communicatorTeam playerHigh degree of fluency in EnglishDemonstrated experience in scoping and conducting quantitative and qualitative market studiesComfortable with figures and analysis, in particular for market data like GFKDetail-oriented with an ability to creatively and clearly present market trends and research findings in written, graphical and verbal formatsAwareness of key trends, customers, competitors in DIY/Consumer and adjacent markets (Construction, Retail etc.)Self-starter able to flourish in a fast-paced and flexible environmentGood interpersonal skills and an ability to identify sources of market intelligence from both internal and external networks insights
