KEY PERFORMANCE AREASTo develop and manage the execution of a comprehensive category strategy to improve costs, service, and quality across the organisation. This role will focus on consolidating high-value, high-risk spend categories to achieve annualized cost savings, increased availability of goods and services, and reduced supply chain risks, which includes but is not limited to:
Category strategy development
Supplier relationship management
Cost saving and efficiency
Contract management
Category team leadership
Regulatory compliance and corporate governance
Statutory and legal compliance
Work Ethics
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Supply Chain Management / Business / Engineering- Postgraduate Degree / MBA in Supply Chain Management / Business Administration (Recommended)
EXPERIENCE- Minimum of five (5) years operational Category management experience in a mining sector- Minimum of five (5) years operational supplier negotiation and contract management experience- Minimum of three (3) years team leadership and management experience (Team / Project leader / supervisor experience)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS- Drivers License - Code B/EB- Medically Fit - Meet required medically fitness standards- Accreditation - Accredited Supply Chain Professional (E.g. CIPS)- Work environment - Mining operations in the Northern Cape- Travel Requirements - Travel between operational sites

TERMS & CONDITIONSThe candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996. Remuneration will be based on a competitive all-inclusive flexible package.
