Cashier X2 - Frontline Department

The purpose of this job is to ensure and maintain an efficient service, this includes following the cash register procedure and accurately ringing up sales, in such a manner that it results in an increase in customer satisfaction and continuous growth of the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet customers as they enter the storeFollow cash up procedureCheck cash received by customerProcess EFT paymentsEnsure all sales are rang up accurately and efficiently on the registersPack purchase items in shopping bagsHand over cash drops to superior, for security measuresPerform daily cash upsBe aware of suspicious looking customersBe aware of all promotional products on saleIssue gift cards, check customers reward cards and cash in pointsResponsible for housekeeping of work areaParticipate in perpetual stock takesPerform any work related tasks as delegated by superiorREQUIREMENTS: Matric or Equivalent1 Year minimum experience in a similar roleClear credit scoreGood customer service and interpersonal skillsAwareness & vigilanceAbility to handle pressureNumerical skillsAbility to work in a team and independently with minimal supervisionExceptional organisational ability, high attention to detail and ability to multi-taskWilling to work flexible hours and holidays to meet the needs of the businessKindly note that if you are not contacted within 2 weeks after the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
