PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:
The Career Centre Officer is responsible for orchestrating a cohesive and standardized student experience across multiple campuses, establishing, managing, and leveraging the Campus Student Engagement Centre's nationally to enhance student engagement, experience, and employability, while also managing feedback mechanisms and driving continuous improvement in student satisfaction and employment outcomes.
KEY RESULT AREAS: Overall Management of Career Centre's for all campusesManage students/graduates placements for all CCS CampusesEnsure that all annual targets for both campuses are metEnsure visibility of Career Centre Services on CampusesKeep the Graduate Database up to date to ease the facilitation process of Career CoachingEnsure Career Coaching targets are met across all campusesCapture all coached graduates on the system weeklyCollect all success stories for the monthReport on competitor analysisSubmit weekly and monthly reportsParticipate in OrientationUpload all current graduates on the appropriate systemPresent when required at meetingsEnsure swift integration on Campus and involvement with Campus activitiesMaintain at least Co-branding companies that have partnered with all CampusesUpdate current systems regularlyManage general staff, including conducting interviews and disciplinary proceduresGraduate and Student Support/Career CoachingConduct Career Coaching SessionsPlan and implement events such as exhibitions, job shadowing, learnerships, internships, and voluntary work experience that promote the services offered by the departmentArrange guest speakers and manage logistics around thisSchedule graduates for workshops to address training and development needsBusiness Development and Client InteractionMarket services of the department to existing and new clients (prospective employers)Obtain job descriptions and company specifications for entry-level positionsDeliver presentation packs to prospective employersConfirm that CVs meet the expectations of prospective employersAssist campuses in growing their graduate employer dataWork Integrated LearningManage the Student Work Integrated Learning ProgrammeConduct Employment Preparedness Training and Continuous Skills DevelopmentFoster Industry Collaboration and PartnershipsFacilitate WIL planning and coordination in the regionOversee semester-based WIL assessment and moderationSourcing and interviewing candidates for regional WIL placementCoordinate WIL boot camps, workshops, and training in the regionDevelop and review WIL programme and curriculumPlan timely meetings with regions for input and challengesAnalyze student performance through reporting and develop intervention strategiesAnalyze overall student performance, instructional approaches, changes, and modificationsBuild rapport and develop relations with all stakeholders including partners, internal and external mentors, assessors, and local and international networksExecute approved workload (coordination, lecturing, assessing, WIL visits)Campus Visibility on Social MediaEnsure that success stories and events hosted are uploaded on social mediaAd Hoc Duties and General Administrative Departmental SupportEnsure that all campuses' databases with complete details of Graduates are updated frequently by administrators, including:Graduate's new position, title, and salary detailsCompany's feedback on the overall impression of candidates presentedFollow-up datesQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum - Higher Diploma in Business Administration or equivalentBachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent (Ideal)EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Minimum of 2 years' experience in customer success, customer service, or a related role, preferably in an educational settingProven track record of managing and leading customer success/service/engagement teamsExperience in handling geographically dispersed teams or locationsExperience in mentoring and coaching is preferableSKILLS REQUIREMENT: Computer literate, systems and policy-oriented, with strong administrative and communication skillsConceptual thinkingWell-developed negotiation skillsPresentation skillsGood relationship-building skills
