Career Centre Coordinator - Nelson Mandela BayResponsibilities:Creates ongoing Career Centre awareness through campaigns, in-class visits, workshops, emails, SMS messages, WhatsApp groups, and daily interaction with students.Ensures sufficient students and alumni have accessed and engaged with the Career Centre Platform by marketing the Career Centre Platform and App.Uploads job opportunities onto the Career Centre Platform job directory.Upskills, leads, and empowers the Career Centre Ambassador team to market the Career Centre and its platform to the student body.Coordinates and hosts career evenings/afternoons for final year students and alumni.Coordinates and hosts part-time work expos for current students.Coordinates and hosts career fairs for students and alumni.Coordinates and hosts Career Centre client appreciation breakfasts.Coordinates and hosts Graduate Employment Workshops (GEW) and Alumni Connect Evenings.Networking:Establishes and maintains relations with all clients.Ensures clear and open communication between clients and the Career Centre.Conducts regular meetings with clients.Ensures compliance with corporate identity at all times.Attends and participates in networking forums to increase awareness of quality graduates.Identifies businesses to partner with and seeks job opportunities aligned with qualifications offered.Markets the brand and demonstrates the value of recruiting through the Career Centre.Recruitment of Students and Alumni:Receives requests for students or graduates from clients.Sends job specifications to clients for completion.Uploads job opportunities onto the Career Centre Platform job directory.Receives and screens students' CVs.Obtains letters of recommendation from lecturers for suitable candidates.Conducts one-on-one interviews with potential students and sends CVs to clients.Submits CVs to clients.Tracks applications by following up with clients on placements.Alumni Support:Extends career support to alumni, allowing them to leverage professional networks.Offers alumni opportunities to reconnect through networking functions, workshops, and reunions.Creates a platform for alumni to give back by providing job opportunities, talks, or mentorship to current students.Maintains contact with existing alumni and tracks their success in the industry.Performs ad hoc projects and duties as assigned by the National Career Centre Manager and Head: Student Experience.Qualifications and Skills:Relevant 3-year Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, sales, or training.Driver's license and own reliable vehicle.Excellent administration, planning, and timekeeping skills.Customer service orientation, high energy, and self-motivation.Highly effective communication and organizational skills.Ability to manage work proactively.Enjoys networking and building relationships.Superior presentation skills.Confident, outgoing, and approachable.Creativity, innovation, and passion for graduate recruitment.
