IntroductionWe seek an individual who is experienced in the field of advanced process control systems with a specific focus on milling and flotation control onsite installations. Needs to exercise a high degree of judgement, creativity and foresight.
ResponsibilitiesFollows the leadership and guidance of other scientists/engineers in undertaking assignments.Establish specifications, improve workflows, and introduce operating procedures at project level.Execute process control installations under supervision, both locally and internationally, requiring interactions with clients and technical expertise at a professional level.Provide clients with basic training.Ensure that projects are executed on time and within budget.Ensure that QES procedures are strictly adhered to and that project work is executed with maximum overall technical efficiency.Actively participate in team debates and technical decisions.Produce professional reports, papers, and presentations at local and international conferences.Keep up-to-date at a professional level with technology and business developments relevant to the division's interests.Minimum RequirementsBSc. or BEng. in Chemical or Electrical Engineering.Good grades (>70%) in Process Control and Process Modelling modules.Must be willing to travel locally and internationally, and work with minimal supervision.The following skills/knowledge will be advantageous:Final year project in process control or process modelling.Computer programming (e.g., Matlab, C, C#, or Python).
