Qualifications Required:Advanced Diploma or Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7) in Accounting or Financial Management.Skills and Experience Required:3-5 years of financial experience in a similar role.Preference will be given to applicants with education industry experience however my client is looking for the right culture fit as well.Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in time management and supervision.Excellent computer skills and communication abilities.Job Description:Business PartneringPlan and manage the finance approach on campus, aligning the budget with the overall campus plan.Support the campus-wide budgeting process and monitor the budget throughout the year.Conduct monthly variance analyses and prepare reports for the Senior Management Team.Review expenditures, suggest remedial actions to achieve EBIT (Earnings Before Interest & Tax), and forecast year-end outcomes.Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to optimize expenditure and ensure compliance with national guidelines.Internal ControlsImplement, monitor, and enforce internal controls across the campus.Identify risks, review internal controls, and provide recommendations for improvement.Manage the asset register and conduct monthly audits in collaboration with IT and Facilities.Ensure compliance with registration processes and handle audit findings efficiently.Debtors ManagementDrive monthly collection targets and analyse daily team performance.Oversee the allocation of bank statements to student accounts and ensure payment plans are accurately processed.Manage the debt collection process and reconcile student bursaries.Creditors ManagementVerify and reconcile purchase orders and invoices.Ensure timely payments to creditors and manage procurement card reconciliations.Capture new suppliers and reconcile supplier accounts to the creditors ledger.Student Administration, Billing and ReportingOversee the administration processes related to cancellations, deregistrations, and appeals.Manage the registration administration process on campus.Balance loan and sweeping accounts weekly and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.Process and balance monthly General Ledger reconciliations up to Trial Balance.Provide regular cash flow and Capex reports, and assist in drawing up the yearly budget.Finance Team ManagementLead and manage Credit Controllers to achieve financial targets.Oversee the finance team to ensure effective student administration and collaboration between finance and operations.Develop and train team members for optimal performance.If you are passionate about finance and education, and meet the requirements outlined, please submit your resume.Please consider your application unsuccessful if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks.
