Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role; experience in the education sector is advantageous. Proficiency in financial management software (Pastel 9 preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for interacting with parents, staff, and pupils. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the financial administration of the school, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Prepare and manage annual budgets, including special campus events, tours, and recoveries. Monitor expenditure against budgets and provide variance analysis to leadership. Handle payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes. Manage and reconcile student billing, including ad hoc items such as music, transport, and aftercare. Administer repayment plans and monitor outstanding debts, liaising with parents to resolve queries. Manage procurement processes, including placing purchase orders and monitoring supplier invoices. Ensure compliance with financial policies, statutory requirements, and organisational regulations. Control petty cash, reconcile payments, and monitor monthly campus charges (e.g., rent, utilities).
