To be able to plan, action and create guest delights Check set ups for breakfast, lunch and dinner Check set ups for breakfast, lunch and dinner Make sure the main area is always tidy and styled to the BOPs Host guests at mealtimes and check smooth running of service from the kitchen and butler Work closely with butlers and Lodge managers to maintain a high service standard Willingness to assist the Lodge Manager and Assistant Lodge Manager with monthly stock takes and any stock orders that need to be done Assisting with general administrative work, including guest Bills, day sheets and gratuities Assisting with General Management of Stock Control and ensuring stock is issued correctly Keep open communication with all departments and allow information to run through freely Help Assistant Lodge Manager with Lodge Operations when Lodge manager goes on leave Checking Arrival Rooms and ensuring it is to standard before guests arrive Assist with the Safari Shop when required A person with a positive Attitude Willingness to learn and grow Open to feedback KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (QUALIFICATIONS OR TRAINING PROGRAMS): At least 2 years relevant experience in a 5-star operation Managerial experience key Company Knowledge (andBeyond and Africa Foundation) Valid unendorsed SA driver's license essential The surrounding communities PANstrat Knowledge beneficial MS office knowledge essential SKILLS REQUIRED: Communication skills - with guests and fellow staff members Lateral thinking ability Flexibility Initiative Professional, courteous, hospitable to guests Must be able to cope under pressure to meet guests needs Leadership Organizational abilities Honest, have good integrity, proactive and driven person who has career ambitions Good interpersonal skills Passion for guest delighting Problem solving skills Team player Diligence and self-motivation to meet deadlines Willingness/ability to share information and teach and inspire others Wine & Food experience preferred PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staff Managerial experience Previous experience in working with kids an advantage This is a permanent live-in position, based at Ngala Tented Camp.
