Our client, a prestigious 5-star safari lodge, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Camp Manager. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest experiences, sustainability, and community engagement. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong managerial skills and the ability to uphold and enhance the lodge's exceptional standards.
DescriptionAs a Camp Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable stay while maintaining high standards of service and hospitality. You will oversee daily operations, manage guest interactions, and foster a positive environment that aligns with our client's values and culture.
Prepare welcome and departure notes for guests.Manage guest check-ins, dietary requirements, and special requests.Meet all guests, handle check-ins, check-outs, hosting, and site inspections.Ensure daily execution of the guest experience plan.Maintain brand standards across all areas of the guest experience.Represent the brand in appearance and behavior.Foster a culture aligned with the brand's values and DNA.Innovate new ideas to enhance the guest experience.Plan and create guest delights both in the bush and at the lodge.Oversee set-ups for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Ensure the main area is tidy and styled according to standards.Host guests at mealtimes and ensure smooth service from the kitchen and butler team.Work closely with butlers and Lodge Managers to maintain high service standards.Assist with monthly stock takes and stock orders.Handle general administrative tasks, including guest bills, daysheets, and gratuities.Manage stock control and ensure correct issuance of stock.Maintain open communication with all departments.Assist the Assistant Lodge Manager with lodge operations when the Lodge Manager is on leave.Check arrival rooms to ensure they meet standards before guest arrivals.Assist with the Safari Shop when required.Maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.Be open to feedback and continuous improvement.Requirements:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a 5-star operation.Managerial experience is key.Knowledge of the company and surrounding communities.Valid unendorsed SA driver's licence.Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of PANstrat is beneficial.Skills Required:

Experience in the service industry, particularly in guest and staff interactions.Experience in a 5-star establishment is advantageous.
