Great opportunity for a young, dynamic candidate who would like to build a career in Calibration / Metrology.INTERNSHIP OFFERED (6 month's Fixed Term Contract to be renewed) - During this period Practical In-house training will be provided - External, theoretical training will be paid for by the company - Once qualified the salary will be extensively revised - market related.REQUIREMENTS:Grade 12 with Mathematics on Higher Grade Must reside in the Randburg / Northern Johannesburg Suburbs DUTIES:The Intern Calibration Technician (Metrologist in Training) has responsibility for the oversight of laboratory testing methods and/or calibration procedures to meet ISO 17025 requirements.Direct access to the Technical Manager, Quality Manager and General Manager at which decisions are taken on laboratory policies or resources.To assure that the Laboratory remains in compliance with ISO 17025 at all times.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Intern Calibration Officer (Metrologist or Metrologist in Training) is responsible for:Ensuring laboratory compliance with ISO 17025 requirements.Assisting the Technical Manager to meet the calibration schedule.Supporting operations regarding maintenance, allocation, and procurement of calibration equipment and laboratory supplies.Preparing facilities, fixtures, and documentation for calibration work.Preparation and oversight of any off-site calibration necessary.Leading calibration failure analysis and reporting activities.TO APPLY:Only if you do meet the minimum job requirements as mentioned above, you may submit a detailed updated CV.
