JOB DESCRIPTION: CAD ManagerLocation:Western Cape, City of Cape Town, Cape TownJob Type:Permanent, Full-TimePrimary Industry:EngineeringSecondary Industry:ConstructionSalary:ZAR600,000 - ZAR660,000 Per annumBenefits:Including Medical Aid, Provident Fund, Life, Disability, Gap & Funeral CoverQualifications:Degree/Diploma Built Environment (architecture preferred)CAD Certification AutoCAD & RevitCorel Draw, Photoshop or other Design Software will be advantageousJob Duties:Oversee and manage the CAD team within the engineering and construction industriesOptimize the CAD system, managing CAD documents, handling drawing requests, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external consultants.Develop and implement CAD standards and proceduresCollaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of CAD projectsProvide technical support and training to CAD team membersEnsure compliance with industry regulations and standardsMonitor project timelines and budget constraintsExperience:5 Years Experience coordinating large Commercial and Retail projects (Retail and Commercial experience is non-negotiable)Proven track record of successfully leading CAD teamsStrong verbal and written communication must have the ability to deal with stakeholders both internally and externally.Knowledge and Skills:Specialist knowledge of CAD and computer graphics software, in particular AutoCAD, RevitComputer application and relevant softwareReading plans, design drawings, and technical specificationsProject management principles and proceduresFormal application and approval procedures related to Local Government regulations.Building/infrastructure/construction (industry knowledge)Construction and Building CodesRelevant Legislation, council submissions etc, national standards etcExtensive knowledge of statutes applicable to the built environmentRetail and commercial space experience.Interior Design Experience (Critical)BIM ExperienceArchitectural Technologist (Critical)Core Objectives:CAD Business Support & Drawings ManagementCAD Office & Document ManagementCAD Protocols & ProceduresStakeholder ManagementWorking Conditions:No travelling
