About The Role
Role Overview Reporting to the Build Manager you will be responsible for leading your team of Cable Technicians with the pre-enablement of existing fibres, splicing and final end to end testing. Ensuring the compliance of safety regulations, quality standards and working closely with other departments to ensure projects are successfully delivered. Responsibilities Maintaining all daily objectives set by the Build ManagerMain focal point for all direct labour and subcontractors for problem solvingDetermine the resource requirements for the completion of all worksAssign roles, tasks and responsibilities to complete all tasksClose working relationship with the Build Coordinator for accurate recording of all workstreamsManagement/supervision of all operatives, subcontractors and associated plantManagement and liaison with the QC team for the accurate recording of all pictorial evidence, supplied by the subcontractors and direct labourRegular reviews of project status ensuring all options have been considered and evaluated to improve construction performanceChallenging the commercial team to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective approach is used to deliver outstanding projectsPromoting near miss and Positive Intervention NCN reportingStrong leadership with employees on siteEfficient communication and engagement with supply chainControl of site environmental issuesDevelopment of strong team working relationshipsEnsuring all project KPI`s and KPM`s are achievedUploading documents to company systems in line with business requirementsDeveloping accurate project programmes for weekly updatesEnsuring compliance to procedures through weekly/monthly returnsCost risk management and early identification of problematic issues on siteOwnership of projects, costs, programmes, documentations, site activities and procurementWeekly submission of information, including weekly timesheets, material sheets and plant and site checklistsCollection of data for Divisional coordinators including scheme drawings of layout, sections and construction detailsSkills, Qualifications & Experience Experience working and supervising fibre engineers on Virgin Media contracts (desirable)NRSWA accreditation to supervisory level (essential)PIA accreditation - K8 and SA001 (essential)Passive Optical Network build understandingValid UK driving licence held for 2 years or more with no more than 6 points on licence (essential)Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and cultureTrustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where requiredOrganised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellenceFlexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levelsCommitment to the provision of excellent customer serviceExperience in a fast paced, national and multi-site businessSelf-starter who can priorities a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlinesExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook/Word/Excel)Salary & Benefits 25 days holiday + bank holidays3x life assuranceEmployee Assistance Program (discount from high street retailers)Private healthcareFree eye test vouchersEmployee referral schemePure Gym discountVirgin Media - 'My Rates' discountOccupational HealthAccess to apprenticeshipsAbout Us
