About this role in the team: As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in upholding BVNK's compliance framework. You will collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure compliance responsibilities are understood and met, review regulatory requirements, and assess the effectiveness of internal processes and controls. Key Areas of Responsibilities: Conduct regular reviews and testing of BVNK's compliance controls and processes to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.Identify areas of non-compliance or risk and recommend appropriate remediation actions, including monitoring for horizon issues impacting BVNK.Contribute to interactions with regulators, including regulatory reporting, licensing applications, and consultation responses.Partner with teams across BVNK to ensure they understand their compliance obligations and provide guidance on day-to-day activities.Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen BVNK's control environment.Deliver compliance training to teams, ensuring employees are informed about key regulations and compliance practices.Develop resources and strategies to enhance compliance awareness across the organisation.What we need from you: 2+ years of relevant compliance or audit experience within a regulated financial services environment, preferably in payments, fintech, or crypto sectors.Understanding of regulatory requirements, such as the FCA Handbook, MiCA, Anti-money laundering requirements, and other global financial and crypto regulations.Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess processes, identify risks, and recommend improvements.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.Proven ability to work independently and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.Passionate about compliance, conduct risk, and the role of regulation in shaping the future of digital finance.What you can expect from us: Fair and competitive salary at every stage of your growth.Meaningful ownership in the business through our employee option scheme.Flexible working hours, with hybrid working at its heart.A culture built on passionate growth-minded people.A flexible approach to holiday.Opportunities to travel to our offices around the world.An open and creative environment where you can help us define the future of BVNK, its culture, and its opportunity sets.At BVNK, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive team.
