The Poetry team is currently searching for a Buyer's Assistant to assist the buyers with product / sample management and administrative duties across the portfolio. The successful candidate should be a problem solver, organized, self-motivated, thrive under pressure, and have a keen eye for detail and design.
The perfect candidate will be someone who is dynamic, has a keen eye for design, appreciates beauty and innovation, has great flare, is knowledgeable and a learner at heart and is pro-active in all aspects of the job.
Role and Responsibilities: Provide full time, comprehensive administrative support to buyers in all activities & product categories including fit sessions, range build, meetings, email queries and product briefs.Sample room and sample rail managementTake ownership of Old Khaki ladies' samples for sample sale and assist with Leisure sample sale set-upArrange for samples to be sent to the E-comm team for photography ahead of the product launch date.Ensure that all products submitted to photography are uploaded onto the product image library.Assist with supplying product information for marketing and visual merchandising briefsAssist with the compiling of store reports and buyers BriefsProvide marketing with product information after seasonal shoots & prep samples for shootsCreate a techpack framework on PLM for all seasonal stylesManagement of product approvals, sending approvals to suppliers ex lab dip approvalsSet-up, prep and assist in meetingsRequirements Matric / Gr12Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)Candidates who have 1- 2 years experience in a similar role will be given preferenceComputer literacy and Microsoft Office Proficiency is a must, excel advantageousCandidates with PLM experience will be given preferenceThe ability to multitask and be organized is essential to the roleExcel and Powerpoint proficiency would be beneficialCompetencies required: Time managementExcellent communication skillsAn effective team playerResults & solution drivenResilient & tenacious with high energy levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentAbility to prioritize, manage time, maintain high levels of drive & initiative under pressureDetail-orientated & accurateProactive, innovative, passionate, committed, self-motivated, driven and trustworthyWilling to go the extra milePlease note: The Cape Union Mart Group is committed to transformation.
