Buyer (Technical)

POS24175 Buyer (Technical) Salary : 11 000 to R 13 000 per month Based :  Amanzimtoti   Qualifications , Knowledge and Skills Requirements   Matric / Grade 12.
Minimum 35 years' experience in purchasing of Chemicals or Engineering or Mining products Comprehensive knowledge of buying.
Good technical knowledge, follow ups, quality orientated, has planning and organizing skills.
Proficient computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
Must have Experience in SYSPRO or equivalent   Required outputs: Functional Processing and placement of purchase orders with suppliers.
Maintain supplier Master data.
Liaise with production, engineering, transporters and suppliers on forecasts & purchases.
Collaborate with other departments and assist where documents are required on goods delivered/ordered.
Involved intensive administration duties, attention to detail, attending of local production meetings and meetings with suppliers to build quality working relationships.
Evaluate, monitor and report on supplier performance by recording and measuring incoming material and quality, on time deliveries and service delivery.
Confirm commercial sustainability of vendors/suppliers by vetting and negotiating prices.
Carrying out of regular stock takes and reviews of slow-moving stocks/spares Regular updates on critical spares holdings.
Inventory valuations.
