POS24175 Buyer (Technical)Salary: R 11,000 to R 13,000 per monthBased: AmanzimtotiQualifications, Knowledge And Skills RequirementsMatric / Grade 12.Minimum 3-5 years' experience in purchasing of Chemicals or Engineering or Mining products.Comprehensive knowledge of buying.Good technical knowledge, follow-ups, quality-oriented, with planning and organizing skills.Proficient computer skills in MS Word and Excel.Must have experience in SYSPRO or equivalent.Required Outputs: FunctionalProcessing and placement of purchase orders with suppliers.Maintain supplier master data.Liaise with production, engineering, transporters, and suppliers on forecasts & purchases.Collaborate with other departments and assist where documents are required on goods delivered/ordered.Involved in intensive administration duties, attention to detail, attending local production meetings and meetings with suppliers to build quality working relationships.Evaluate, monitor, and report on supplier performance by recording and measuring incoming material and quality, on-time deliveries, and service delivery.Confirm commercial sustainability of vendors/suppliers by vetting and negotiating prices.Carrying out regular stock takes and reviews of slow-moving stocks/spares.Regular updates on critical spares holdings.Inventory valuations.Closing Date: 11 July 2024To apply for this position, please send CVs and use POS 24175 in the subject line.Please note that only shortlisted candidates who meet all the requirements will be contacted.
