Buyer - Representative

Industry: Procurement of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals. Role: Buying Representative: Education: Matric. Tertiary education: in Procurement/Marketing field, an advantage. Computer literacy Skills: Motivated, enthusiastic, team player. Basic salary between R10000 R12000 commission (travel allowance - preferably own car) Training : In-house training will be provided Previous experience as a sales/buying representative, an advantage Duties, tasks and responsibilities Responsible for the procurement of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous scrap metals within her assigned vendors. Identify and contact potential suppliers and assist negotiating supply agreements, quotations and contracts, as needed. Liaise with management for prices of merchandise. Handle purchasing issues including queries on manifests and purchase notes. To confirm bookings with Suppliers and designated manager prior to load pick ups Prepare compliant safety & health files Form and maintain strong supplier relations: communication, negotiation and soft skills to interact with suppliers Perform other adhoc duties required by her designated manager
