The ideal candidate will be responsible for procuring materials and supplies essential for our client's operations.
The role requires a strong understanding of construction materials, supplier management, and negotiation skills to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods.Key Responsibilities:•Procurement Management: Source and purchase construction materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with operational specifications and timelines.•Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules to secure the best value for the company.•Cost Control: Monitor and manage procurement budgets.
Conduct market research to ensure competitive pricing and cost savings.•Inventory Management: Track inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
Ensure timely reordering and efficient stock management.•Quality Assurance: Verify that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Handle returns and exchanges as necessary.•Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and expenditures.•Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to understand project needs and provide timely support.•Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field – Preferred, not a must.
