Our client in the manufacturing industry is urgently looking for a Technical Buyer.Responsibilities:Reviewing requisitions for accuracy and completeness.Creating RFIs and RFQs.Ensuring that a reasonable amount of quotations is obtained for all purchases.Ensuring that proper adjudications and market comparisons are carried out.Ensuring that the award of purchase orders to bidders is based on best price and quality.Forwarding purchase orders to suppliers and regulating document flow.Expediting overdue orders and applying corrective measures to avoid reoccurrence.Recommending adjustments to SAP MRP settings to maintain optimum stock levels where required.Monitoring inventory levels and reducing inventory levels by implementing Kanban, JIT, and consignment stock.Conducting vendor performance appraisals.Highlighting single source items and requesting suppliers to recommend alternative parts where possible.Qualifications and Other Requirements:Matric.Purchasing Management Certificate.3 years purchasing experience.Total buying budget > R31 million per annum.Desired Skills:Buyer.SAP.Purchasing management.
