Minimum Requirements: Suitable Tertiary qualification At least 4 years experience as a Buyer from the flavours and ingredients industry SAP experience Proven price negotiation experience in the buying of raw materials Duties and Responsibilities: Data Gathering and Negotiation Preparation: Collect and analyze data for effective negotiations. Ensure negotiations align with organizational objectives and content requirements. Supplier and Raw Material Research: Identify potential suppliers and their offerings. Evaluate raw material quality, availability, and cost. Price Comparison and Tool Maintenance: Compare prices from various suppliers. Collaborate with lead buyers to maintain accurate pricing tools. Contract Management: Send and track contracts. Verify order confirmations and communicate changes to lead buyers. Manage contracts within SAP. Master Data Maintenance: Create and update supplier and material master data. Sample Management: Efficiently manage sample inventory and processes. Complaint Handling: Coordinate with lead buyers to address supplier complaints. Implement administrative procedures for complaint resolution. Raw Material and Packaging Procurement: Source and purchase raw materials and packaging. Generate purchase orders and follow up with suppliers. Delivery Expediting and Issue Resolution: Proactively address delivery delays, shortages, or other issues. Coordinate with suppliers to expedite deliveries. Coordination with Planning and Accounts: Collaborate with planning for accurate material projections. Coordinate with accounts for timely vendor payments. Procurement Strategy Optimization: Leverage existing procurement strategies, contracts, and relationships. Build strong relationships with key suppliers. Localization and Benchmarking: Lead localization efforts for raw materials and packaging. Conduct internal and external price benchmarking. Supplier Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess supplier performance. Take appropriate action for non-performing suppliers.
