time left to apply End Date: January 31, 2025 (30+ days left to apply)job requisition id R0028104Job Title: BuyerDivision: Weir MineralsLocation: AlrodeOnsitePurpose of Role: The Buyer fulfils a critical role within the Weir Minerals South Africa within the direct procurement Department for the procuring of materials to support the business.Key Responsibilities:Purchase Order Management: Convert requisitions to purchase orders, manage order details, and ensure on-time delivery and documentation.Exception Handling: Use SAP ERP to manage and resolve exception messages and update delivery information.Supplier Communication: Collaborate with suppliers to address issues and communicate changes and requirements.Supply Chain Support: Assist with initiatives to improve lead times, on-time delivery, and overall supply chain performance.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support internal teams with supply chain activities, manage supplier relationships, and handle additional responsibilities as needed.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Matric / Grade 12 certificateNational Diploma in Purchasing or equivalentSAP and COUPA literacy would be advantageousMinimum of 3-5 years buying experience in an Engineering and or Manufacturing environmentWeir is committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
