Minimum Requirements: Qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain and Logistics.
Minimum of 5 years' experience within a Buyer role.
Supervisory/Management experience.
Understanding technical drawings.
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintaining positive supplier relationships.
Evaluating supply chain options.
Maintaining accurate records.
Overseeing all activities of the purchasing department.
Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services and suppliers.
Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
Reviewing, comparing, analysing and approving products and services to be purchased.
Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times and product ranges.
Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
Preparing budgets, cost analysis and reports.
Provide regular progress reports to senior managers against procurement strategies and the associated cost savings.
