Responsibilities:

Source, assess, and curate a diverse range of products that align with our E-Commerce platform's identity and customer preferences.
Collaborate closely with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, pricing, and conditions.
Utilise market research and data analysis to anticipate consumer trends and make informed buying decisions.
Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans in alignment with our business objectives.
Monitor product performance, sales trends, and customer feedback to optimise the product assortment.
Manage inventory levels, ensure timely replenishments, and prevent stockouts.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and stay updated on emerging market trends.
Maintain strong supplier relationships, addressing any issues that may arise.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely product deliveries and inventory management.
Implement pricing strategies to maximise profitability while offering competitive prices.
Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
Stay informed about industry regulations, ethical sourcing, and sustainable practices.
Generate reports and provide insights to management regarding product performance and purchasing strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Buyer in the E-Commerce or Retail industry.
Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to build and nurture supplier relationships.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and consumer behaviour.
Proficiency in using procurement software, E-Commerce platforms, and MS Office applications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Detail-oriented approach and accuracy in managing purchasing documentation.
Creativity in selecting products that resonate with the digital consumer base.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with inventory management principles and practices.
Knowledge of ethical sourcing, sustainability, and market compliance.
