Our Clothing Retail Client is currently looking for a Buyer Footwear based in Durban North.Purpose of the Job:Maximize sales and margin for your department by sourcing and constructing an appealing product assortment, offering distinctive value at the best price, aligned to the company strategic objective.Remuneration: R25 000– Max of R50 000 ctc - No BenefitsWorking Hours: Either 07:00 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 17:00 (Close earlier on a Friday)Preferred Qualifications and Experience:Preferable to have a Buying/Design Degree.Minimum 2 years Footwear buying experience.Microsoft Office efficiency and basic skills.Must be able to work efficiently from a buying plan.Must bring some supplier resources to the table.Role and Responsibilities:Researching, sourcing, and developing products, ensuring the best range offering for our market.Preparing for key strategic meetings such as postmortems, seasonal strategies, laydowns, and reviews.Contribute to a strong and dynamic team environment with all members of your team.Conducting current trade analysis to ensure that the current season's trade is executed according to plan to achieve strategic targets and budgets, while optimizing current opportunities in trade and managing stock.Meeting required deadlines as per critical path.Maintaining good relationships with suppliers and negotiating prices.Keeping abreast of competition by regular visits to competitors and company stores.Maximize sales and margins for your department by sourcing and constructing an appealing product assortment, offering distinctive value at the best price, aligned to the company's strategic objectives.Please take note: if you have not been contacted within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
