Position : Business Systems and Automation Manager Working Hours : M - F, 8:00am - 5:00pm, EST Salary Range : $ 3,500 Position Summary: We're looking for a Business Systems and Automation Manager to take charge of all our company's systems and make our people more efficient through smart automation.
You'll work across departments to understand pain points, streamline workflows, and integrate the tools we use every day.
Your goal is simple: make the company run smoother, faster, and with less manual effort.
You'll report directly to the CEO (who's an automation geek himself) and have full ownership over the systems we use—from CRM to ERP and everything in between.
You'll need to be a systems thinker and process builder, able to dig into details but also see the big picture.
We want someone who can not only optimize what we have but also explore new ways to bring automation and even AI into our workflows.
Duties and Responsibilities: Own and optimize all our business systems: You'll manage tools like Netsuite, Google Workspace, Shopify, Rippling, Close CRM, and more.
You'll continuously evaluate these systems to make sure we're using them to their full potential.
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies: Collaborate with different teams to understand where manual work or inefficiencies exist, then implement automation to save time and effort.
Implement and configure new systems: Lead the entire lifecycle of new systems—whether it's a new CRM or a new piece of automation software.
You'll gather user input, evaluate solutions, implement them, and train the team.
Integrate and automate: Use tools like Zapier, Integromat, or other low-code platforms to connect our software and eliminate manual tasks.
You'll design workflows that streamline operations across departments.
Spec out custom development when needed: While you'll focus on low-code/no-code solutions, you may need to spec out small projects for contract developers when custom code is necessary.
You'll own that process from concept to completion.
Train the team: Make sure all employees are up to speed on the systems we use.
You'll create clear processes and documentation to ensure everyone can work efficiently.
The best systems in the world don't count unless people can use them.
Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously research new systems, tools, and best practices for business process automation and bring new ideas to the table.
Minimum Requirements: Experience in business systems management and automation: You've managed multiple business systems before, ideally across a variety of departments and functions.
Automation expertise: You know tools like Zapier, Integromat/Make, Celigo Integrator.io, etc and can build smart, repeatable workflows that eliminate manual work.
Process and systems thinker: You're great at creating processes that make people's lives easier and help the business run more efficiently.
Independent problem-solver: You have the ability to "figure it out"—you can diagnose a problem, design a solution, and implement it with minimal oversight.
Excellent communicator: You can explain technical systems and processes to non-technical team members and make sure everyone's aligned.
Remote work-ready: You're self-driven and can manage your time effectively while working remotely.
Good to have: Experience working with developers: You've worked with contract developers and know how to spec out technical solutions when automation requires custom code.
Startup or high-growth experience: You're comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and have worked in a similar role before.
Excel and Google Sheets wizardry: You're an expert in using these tools for data management and reporting.
Technical Skills: NetSuite proficiency crucial (steep learning curve, complex system) Close.com CRM used, but less important (easier to learn) integrator.io/Silego experience highly valued (NetSuite-specific integration tool) Zapier expertise beneficial; indicates automation mindset E-commerce background helpful but not required
