Our mission is to partner and collaborate with clients, University, and third parties to determine value based, sustainable technology solutions that enable the Faculty to achieve its academic mission.In close collaboration with the Client Solution Manager, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements/requests from multiple departments within Temerty Medicine. Subsequently, you will translate requirements into IT specifications. You will work collaboratively with a team of technical specialists to ensure the efficient, effective, and secure use of resources while contributing to and supporting (but not limited to) M365 solutions. The incumbent will play a critical role in improving business system processes in a highly complex but rewarding environment.Your responsibilities will include:Gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements and technical needs from departmentsTranslating business requirements into IT specificationsSupporting Client Solution Manager(s) with the planning, development, and implementation of projectsImplementing change management strategies of new business system processes including supporting the preparation of documentation and writing complex specificationsTraining end-users on procedures and the use of supported IT systems and drafting/editing training contentAdvising clients and technical subject matter experts on best practice for documenting system requirementsAnalyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and developing technical solutions for systems improvementsPlanning the implementation of new business system processesEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Information Studies, Computer Science or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum four (4) years' of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or similar position, ideally in a higher education and/or healthcare environmentDemonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and technical needs from departmentsDemonstrated experience with translating complex business requirements into IT specificationsDemonstrated experience implementing change management strategies of new business system processes, including supporting the preparation of documentation and writing complex specificationsExperience developing and delivering training on the use of new IT systems for end-users of varying technical accumenEffective written, oral, interpersonal and relationship building skills, particularly with internal stakeholdersStrong computer skills in the Office365 platform with MS Office; proficient with OneDrive and Teams.Assets (Nonessential):Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CBAP, CSM, CSPO, Lean Six Sigma, and CCMPWork experience in a university, government, or healthcare setting would be considered an assetTo be successful in this role you will be:ArticulateMulti-taskerOrganizedPerceptiveResponsibleTeam playerClosing Date: 09/18/2024, 11:59PM ETEmployee Group: USWAppointment Type: Budget - ContinuingSchedule:Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:USW Pay Band 12 -- $79,874. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $102,147.
