Roche Diagnostics Cape Town is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join the Business Intelligence and Transformation Team (BITT) for a 1-year Fixed Term Contract.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring robust system processes, particularly SAP, and maintaining master data to support production, quality control, and supply for our Cape Town operations teams. Key responsibilities include providing first-level support for operational systems, maintaining master data, handling relevant transactions and forms, and implementing necessary changes. You will work closely with the operations teams to correct, update, and improve production systems and processes within the ERP system (SAP), ensuring manufacturability and compliance.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for achieving objectives and ensuring alignment with all stakeholders.
Key Challenges: You own all aspects for 1st level support for first-level support of systems, primarily SAP, including capturing, documenting, and resolving changes or issues within the system.
You implement the system requirements for new product launches or technical product transfers.
You participate in the creation, verification, and finalization of training materials for relevant functional employees.
You identify and take ownership of key changes in functional or business processes and operations due to system updates or procedural adjustments, executing the necessary modifications.
You assess and quantify the impact of key business/operational changes to the Cape Town organisation.
You communicate and share with key operational team leads and stakeholders the effect of business process changes on relevant functional employees and the day-to-day execution of work.
You collaborate with manufacturing IT to ensure appropriate solutions are available to meet operational requirements.
You work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and project teams to identify, define, collate, document, and communicate data changes and verification requirements.
You work with SMEs and their counterparts to analyze, generate, and capture any "missing" master data.
You coordinate, execute, and report on local system test cases, including functional, integration, and user acceptance tests, within the relevant functional area.
You perform other duties as assigned by management.
Who you are: You hold a Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, natural sciences, or a related field, with over 2 years of experience and a strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP), including system setup and maintenance.
You have the ability to view existing solutions from new perspectives, while exploring and applying innovative concepts and methodologies.
You have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
Preferred: In-depth knowledge of SAP, with a focus on master data management, recipes, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
Proficiency in the supported modules, including SAP PP-PI, QM, and MM. Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA is a plus.
A basic understanding of resource planning concepts, such as labour pools and resource groups, to facilitate effective data collection and analysis, is beneficial.
