As the strategic right hand to the CEO, you will be expected to: Structure, lead, mentor and manage teams to deliver on all short and long-term business objectives Shape trajectory by setting and helping to deliver on business and departmental goals, objectives, and policies Drive growth across multiple divisions by spearheading the strategic direction of our four respective sub-companies Engage with all stakeholders and action their requirements on an ongoing basis Optimise and streamline business processes, while improving cost effectiveness where necessary Provide in-depth feedback on the group's financial, technical and HR matters Plan, manage and execute key strategic projects and activities from the get-go to roll-out Perform businesses data and workflow analysis, identify inefficiencies and build enhancement strategies accordingly Collaborate across the businesses for the smooth-running of all business operations Develop and manage projects, timelines and budgets to meet deadlines Document processes and procedures and improve on these, wherever necessary Be a skilled negotiator of both employment and business contracts SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: The courage to roll up your sleeves and tackle complex challenges Natural leadership skills to direct projects, guide your colleagues and make big decisions Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Laser-sharp time management in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Solid organisational skills to handle numerous responsibilities across different businesses Innovative problem solving on-the-fly, handled with agility and cool-headedness Being analytically, financially minded and technically proficient The ability to focus and draw on vast amounts of information across multiple business lines, at any given time MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Finance ; and no less than 10 years of on-the-job experience as a General Manager, CEO, Head of Department (OR SIMILAR), that demonstrates a track record of success.
Experience in a more technical environment such as mining/manufacturing/ production as there needs to be a general understanding of the challenges of the industry and its complexities.
