ExperienceMinimum: Banking experience of at least 5 years, of which 3 years should have been spent in the Business Banking environment.Experience of managing a complex portfolio of business customers with a service and financial analysis focus.Significant experience in preparing and motivating Credit applicationsCost control and sales managementIdeal: 1-2 years managerial/leadership experience1-2 years managing a small business centerQualifications (Minimum)A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or CommerceQualifications (Ideal or Preferred)KnowledgeMinimum: Principles and practices of business economics and the current business economic environment.Customer relationship management (CRM) principles and techniquesDifferent industry sectors and sector risk profiles/trends; this includes an understanding of the impact of climatic conditions on the agricultural market (if there are agric clients in the portfolio).Local market (LM) sales principles and practices to manage and optimize retention and growth within the portfolio.General banking practices and procedures.Knowledge of competitor product offerings/channels/operational and marketing tactics.Credit principles and practices, including an understanding of credit application, securitiesLegal entities (companies, close corporations, sole proprietorships etc.) in the commercial market and the legislative restrictions and requirements governing these from a financial services perspective.Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).Able to extract, analyze and apply CRM insights to influence the client management approach and strategyGeneral understanding of how Business Banking operates, as well as understanding the business risks, industry risks, and financial requirements pertaining to the business marketIdeal: Features, benefits, and value propositions of the respective company product/service offerings.Multi-level products available and pricing structuresCurrent taxation laws as they apply to customers.A good knowledge of administration processes and procedures pertaining to Business Banking transactionsFinancial Modeling; activity-based costing, financial analysis (evaluating and identifying trends), complex cash flow cycles (industry/sector-specific)SkillsCommunications SkillsConditions of EmploymentCapitec is committed to diversity, applications to this position will strictly be considered in support of our employment equity goals.
