Job Description:
The Business Intelligence Engineer is an integral part of a team responsible for developing and supporting custom solutions aimed at enhancing the efficiency of our client's asset care services.
Job Duties:
Designing and implementing business intelligence solutionsDeveloping reports using various reporting toolsUtilising PostgreSQL RDBMS or Microsoft SQL for data analysisCollaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirementsProviding technical support and troubleshooting for BI solutionsRequired Qualifications:
Minimum qualification Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldPreferred qualification Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProven experience in coding and designing business intelligence solutionsFamiliarity with at least one reporting toolMinimum requirements: Between the ages of 18 - 340-12 months related working experienceAfricanHave not taken part in the YES program previouslyUnemployedKnowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of data analysis and visualisation techniquesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentGood communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business Intelligence or related fieldCertifications in relevant BI toolsExperience with ETL processesWorking Conditions:
This role is based in Cape Town and may require occasional travel to client sites.
The Business Intelligence Engineer is expected to work full-time hours on a contract basis, with potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.
