Job DescriptionWith a team of experienced professionals using key methodologies, delivering market-leading BI solutions that are efficient, accurate and cost effective, I am recruiting for a BI Developer for a 6-month contract on a consulting basis. As a full time BI Developer, you will be responsible for tasks such as data modelling, dashboard creation and using analytical skills to provide valuable insights to various clients. This is a hybrid role, with most of the work located in Johannesburg and in office.The key responsibilities for this role will include:Translate business needs to technical specificationsDesign, build and deploy BI solutions (data warehousing models)Evaluate and improve existing BI systemsCollaborate with teams to integrate systemsDevelop and execute database queries and conduct analysesCreate visualizations and reports for requested projectsDevelop and update technical documentationClient data supportMaintain and support data analytics platformsConduct unit testing and troubleshooting As you will be responsible for hitting the ground running extensive experience is essential. You will also be hands-on involved with the department. The requirements:Qualification:Completed Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Informatics or similar (NQF Level 7)Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in Business Intelligence Development or Business Intelligence ReportingMicrosoft Certified Solutions Expert in Data Management and AnalyticsMicrosoft Certified Azure Data EngineerExperience:2 Years experience in a similar role2 Years experience within a consulting environmentSkills Required:Background in data warehouse design (dimensional modelling) and data miningIn-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworkFamiliarity with BI technologiesPower BIMicrosoft SQL and Microsoft BI StackUnderstanding of ERP, CRM and other business applications/business processes
