Mi-C3 is seeking a skilled, highly analytical Business Intelligence Specialist/Report Writer to work remotely with our global teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating reports for data generated in the Affectli system, our flagship software.
This role provides deep technical and business support for all aspects of data acquisition, analysis, interpretation, and interactive visualizations. It enables us to assist our clients in extracting greater value from diverse and complex raw datasets.
The candidate will have an advanced understanding of SQL, ETL tools, data ingestion, data discovery & analysis, data cleansing, data transformation, data modeling, and data visualization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Understand ETL concepts of data flow, enrichment, consolidation, and transformation.
Understand database concepts of referential integrity, indexes, keys, and table metadata.
Ability to design and develop Data Warehouse ETL processes and associated reporting.
Architect, design (including data model), develop, implement, and maintain code for ETL transformation.
Architect and design queries to enable complex report construction informed by business and analytical demands.
Expertise in one or more areas: data security, storage, ingestion, streaming, processing, analysis, quality, visualization, business process management, data exchange, or modeling.
Ability to collaborate with Business Analysts/BPEs and architects to analyze business requirements, develop data model strategies, and create technical design specifications.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Intermediate to advanced skills for SQL database queries and associated functions.
Exposure to Time Series Database technologies such as Druid is advantageous.
Familiarity with alternative data storage and transfer formats such as JSON is advantageous.
Familiarity with GraphQL is advantageous.
Experience with a transformation tool such as Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle, Database, and Spoon) is advantageous but not necessary.
Experience with reporting tools such as SuperSet, Pentaho, Tableau, or similar.
Experience using Git version control software is advantageous.
