As a Business Growth Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's organisation. You will be tasked with leading the planning, development, and execution of growth strategies on a country scale. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities that contribute to overall business expansion, profitability, and sustainability. You will also be responsible for developing strategic plans for the Growth team while motivating market opportunities for business growth. Your ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies will be crucial in this role.
Plan and execute the Country Growth strategy to support business expansion, profitability and sustainability.
Develop strategic and tactical plans for the Growth team.
Motivate market opportunities for business growth.
Develop and implement sales strategies.
Compile, monitor and manage budgets, ensuring business profitability and achievement of set targets.
Identify and leverage strong networks with senior external stakeholders to build a new business pipeline.
Establish strategic business partnerships with key stakeholders.
Conduct research to identify new markets and clients.
Analyse data to determine trends in market share, forward share and promotional activity.
Create and implement a structured plan to achieve set targets and revenue growth.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Business Growth Director position brings a wealth of experience in marketing, sales, and new business development. With your postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing/Brand Management or related field, you have spent at least 10-12 years honing your skills in these areas. Your exposure to both local and global retail environments has given you unique insights into customer service, relationship building, and strategic networking. Your negotiation skills are top-notch, and you have a deep understanding of new business development, financial acumen, and the tender/RFP process.
Postgraduate degree/NQF level 8 in Marketing/Brand Management or related field.
10 - 12 years' relevant experience in marketing, sales and/or new business development with at least 3 years' experience as a senior resource.
Relevant exposure to local and global retail environment.
