To support the vision and strategy and enhance the capability of the organisation through the development and implementation of business process architecture solutions and requirements.
Primary Focus:
(1) To translate business needs emanating from projects, new ideas or system changes into business requirements for developing/buying IT systems;(2) To provide business process architecture and requirements, at enterprise level, for various Capitec business units;(3) To support new revenue growth initiatives;(4) To drive continuous improvement post-implementation of projects through business unit operationalisation, in order to track achievement of business benefits to deliver on strategic/business level objectives.(5) To develop change management plans, project plans, and designing of policies/procedures/performance measures; and(6) Accountable for implementation and the quality thereof.Qualifications (Minimum)A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering - General or SimilarGrade 12 National Certificate / VocationalQualifications (Ideal or Preferred)A relevant post-graduate qualification in Engineering - General or Information TechnologyMasters Degree in Business AdministrationExperienceMinimum: 5-10 years' proven experience complex analytical Business Design, Development, Improvement initiatives and/or Product DesignNB: Comfortable with implementation of approved business cases (i.e., able to go straight from ideation to implementation and measures thereof - i.e., process execution, involving stakeholder collaboration, to ensure that anticipated benefits are realised and for continuous improvement) Facilitating business requirementsFamiliarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies / Theory of Constraints (TOC)Ideal: 10 years' complex analytical Business Design, Development, Improvement initiatives and/or Product DesignFamiliarity with Agile way of workingTranslating company strategies and objectives into initiatives and/or projectsInitiation and implementation of:Projects with the goal to improve performance through business process improvements;Revenue growth initiatives; andContinuous improvement capabilityRe-engineering (transforming and evolving) processes within an operations environmentAnalysing/understanding emerging technologies and trends, to inform innovation and strategic business planning (defining high-level business requirements)Developing robust business cases for new initiatives, quantifying their benefits, and presenting these to senior managementOverseeing implementation of the approved business case; i.e., process execution involving stakeholder collaboration/Business Analysts to ensure that anticipated benefits are realised, and for continuous improvementBuilding business cases to reflect the pros and cons of specific ideasKnowledgeMinimum: NB functional skills: Business Process Modelling skills (iDEF-0, Financial Modelling, Enterprise Architect, BPMN, etc.) NB: Process Simulation ModellingNB: Systems Thinking skillsTechnological acumenDeveloping a business caseBusiness Change Life Cycle and Change Management principles System Development Life CycleProject Management Lifecycle and methodologiesQuality Management Risk and Issue Management Process frameworks (Strategy, Planning, HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Assets, Procurement, Production, Legal, and Product Development frameworks)Supply Chain methodologiesIncident Management and workflow methodologiesTransformational management principlesNB Other: Willingness to travel (local) as and if required (e.g., required monthly branch visits; etc.)Ideal: Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and related disciplinesAgile way of working practicesBABOK, SOA, TOGAF, and ARCHIMATESkillsCommunications SkillsStrategic Thinking SkillsComputer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)Interpersonal & Relationship management SkillsPresentation SkillsFacilitation SkillsBusiness Process Modelling skills (IDEF-0, Financial Modelling, Enterprise Architect, BPMN, etc.)Planning, organising and coordination skillsCommercial Thinking SkillsAnalytical SkillsConditions of EmploymentClear criminal and credit recordWillingness to travel nationally and internationally when requiredAbility to work extended hours during periods of project implementation Capitec is committed to diversity and, where feasible, all appointments will support the achievement of our employment equity goals.
