Role Purpose
To generate new business leads in the commercial space and convert those leads into secured appointments for the business development team. This role will also involve supervising the Business Development Consultants as a team leader to ensure the successful execution of lead-generation strategies.
Financial
Contribute to minimization of general expenses
Client
Ensure that all stakeholders (e.g., clients and AE's) communication is accurate, timeous, professional, and relevant
Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ensure and contribute to achieving own and company required client satisfaction targets
Business Processes
Generate new business leads (e.g. through cold calling, referrals, etc.)
Supervise Business Development Consultants as a team leader, ensuring the successful execution of lead-generation strategies.
Engage telephonically with leads and secure appointments for the sales team
Make appointments with prospective clients for the sales team and diarize appointments
Adhere to company processes and quality assurance standards with regard to sourcing leads and converting leads into appointments
Manage data in the CRM system and adhere to processes and standards in relation to the CRM system
Compile reports as required by management
Provide general administration support to the sales team
Keep accurate records of own activities

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Matric or Equivalent
Computer Literate (Windows, MS Suite)
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in insurance
A good understanding of the short-term insurance industry and products
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
