Business Development Specialist - Renewable Energy

Our client, a leading Electric Utility Company, is seeking a dynamic professional to drive business development and sales initiatives within the Renewable Energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving over R100 million in revenue annually, leveraging their industry expertise, and building strong relationships with both government and private sector clients.This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on the growth and sustainability of renewable energy solutions.ResponsibilitiesAchieve annual sales targets exceeding 100 million rands.Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Renewable Energy sector.Develop and maintain relationships with government and private sector clients.Create strategic partnerships to enhance competitive market offerings.Oversee the tender preparation and submission.Organize and formulate business development plans.Responsible for public relations management with relevant entities in the government and public sector.Identify partnering opportunities in the industry to further the objectives.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.Monitor and report on sales performance.Develop strategies to meet and exceed business development goals.Lead and mentor junior business development staff.Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.RequirementsDegree in Sales or Business Development.A Renewable Energy qualification would be advantageous.10 years of experience in a similar environment.Proven track record of achieving significant sales targets (over 100 million rand per year).Extensive experience in both government and private sector projects.Industry knowledge within the Renewable Energy sector.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Customer CentricityCommunicationNetworkingInfluenceProblem-solvingAccountabilityBenefitsSalary: NegotiableContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
