Our client, a leading cyber security firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa is seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to assist their business development initiatives. This role is crucial for expanding their client base and fostering strategic partnerships. As a key member of their team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and achieving sales targets.Success in this Role:
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to effectively establish contact with prospects, build relationships, and nurture full accounts to generate interest.Key Indicators Of Success Include:Achieving or exceeding lead generation and qualification targetsSuccessfully developing strategic partnerships that drive business growthContributing to the achievement of overall sales targets and company objectivesMaintaining a high level of client satisfaction and retention through effective relationship management
Responsibilities Lead Generation and Prospecting:Identify and research potential clients that align with target market and service offeringsUse various channels including cold calling, emailing, and networking to generate leads and initiate contact with key decision-makersConduct outbound calls to engage prospects, qualify leads, and set up meetings or demosDevelop and nurture strategic partnerships with businesses, organizations, and industry influencers to enhance market presenceManage and prioritize leads efficiently using CRM software to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunitiesTrack and report on sales metrics, including lead conversion rates and sales forecastsConduct initial meetings, presentations, and demos to showcase services and solutionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfactionStay updated with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growthContribute to the development of business development strategies and initiatives aligned with company goals
Requirements:Proven experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role in a B2B environmentStrong understanding of sales techniques and strategies, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targetsExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makersAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitudeCyber Security sales experienceAbility to travel when needed
