Business Development Manager (Wine)

Our client is looking for a passionate and results-driven Business Development Manager (Wine) to lead export sales efforts and expand their wine portfolio in international markets.
Responsibilities: Market Development: Identify and target new international markets for wine exports, focusing on building strong client relationships and expanding the brand's reach.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed export sales targets.
Client Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new opportunities.
Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and refine sales approaches.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
Product Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns tailored to target markets.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all export regulations and quality standards.
Reporting: Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports, and present updates to senior management.
Travel: Represent the company at international trade shows, wine exhibitions, and client meetings to foster relationships and promote products.
Key Skills: Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of wine products, international markets, and export logistics.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and adjust strategies accordingly.
Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
Cross-cultural awareness and adaptability to interact with diverse clients.
Proven track record in international wine sales or a related export role.
Knowledge of wine production, varieties, and global wine markets.
Familiarity with export regulations and logistics.
Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
