The main task of this position as Business Development Manager (BDM) for Renewable Energy in South(ern) Africa is to facilitate the growth of Renewable Energy Services in Sub-Sahara Africa.
This position is responsible for managing services (testing, inspection and certification) or advisory projects mainly in the field of Renewable Energy in the Southern Africa region.
There will be synergies in the work environment to related Green Energy & Sustainability fields such as hydrogen and climate action projects.
In this respect, the position is responsible for managing ongoing and newly awarded projects with suitable qualifications and experiences within the local and global team.
Furthermore, this position requires experience in the industry-specific field of energy and a deep understanding of the market and policies in Southern Africa.
Based on this knowledge, relevant services will be identified, and new projects be developed.
Responsibilities: Analyze markets and provide strategic directions on how to develop new business in the field of Renewable Energy Analyze market sectors and prospect clients to identify best business opportunities Orchaster and represent internal activities in the field of Renewable Energy Collaboration within global teams Define and implement the strategic plan to approach & capture client's needs Refining local Renewable Energy strategy Lead consulting projects, by managing internal/external project team Report periodically to CEO on project roll out Transfer consulting knowledge and skills to internal staff Initiate and complete proposals and presentation for new business opportunities Grow a team of BD / internal experts General Accountabilities Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work, and support and comply with all organizational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
