Business Development ManagerOur client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The Business Development Manager will be the primary point of contact for new business development. The incumbent will be the interface between the Company and its Clients, responsible for the generation of New Business/Clients for the Group to drive business growth and market share.KEY RELATIONSHIPSInternalGroup Chief Executive OfficerChief Operating OfficerClient Development TeamCampaign ManagerHead of SalesHead of ComplianceExternalDevelop good strategic relationships with all existing clients and target clients, suppliers, and relevant industry bodies (e.g., BPESA, Banking & Insurance sector, Direct Marketing Association).RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESUnderstand the market, customer, products, and services of the broader Group, focusing on relevant Business Process Outsourcing opportunities and direct marketing in the financial services sector.Develop, implement, and evaluate new business campaigns/initiatives for the Group together with the Chief Client Officer/Executive Team to maximize business opportunities and minimize risk.Identify potential new target markets and lead on building robust business proposals that secure new contracts and long-term client relationships.Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.Manage the entire process: lead generation, presenting our client to potential clients, understanding clients' business and needs, and presenting feasible solutions.Screen new business inquiries and provide quick and relevant feedback.Manage and maintain a pipeline of new business and report weekly on progress.Create and maintain a database of proposals and RFIs delivered by our client.Track new business income, campaign successes/failures, and report monthly.Identify and evaluate opportunities within the market to enhance existing products or introduce new products.Ensure effective new business implementation through compilation of a Campaign Brief and briefing of all relevant departments.Interact with other departments to ensure they are fully briefed on all aspects of the campaign and required deliverables.Stay updated on issues affecting BPO, Direct Marketing, and Contact Centre industry, competitors, and clients.Provide research and ground material on new business prospects, competitors, and industry developments.Compile cost estimates, proposals, reports, presentations, and general correspondence for new business.Monitor the external and internal business environment for potential business risks or opportunities and advise the Chief Client Officer accordingly.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESDeep Business Process Outsourcing and new business development experience.Strong record of sales/marketing results, preferably within Business Process Outsourcing and Insurance/Financial Services industries.Proven Direct Marketing/Database Marketing Skills.Strong Relationship Management/Selling to Key Accounts at a senior level.Minimum of 3 – 5 years current, relevant experience.Excellent innovation and strategic skill.Excellent interpersonal and written capability.Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills.Creative approach to problem solving.Strong analytical capability.Ability to prepare high-standard reports and communications.Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.Strong time management and organization skills.Ability to work effectively with a range of partners and stakeholders.Must have proven experience in standard computing packages including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and PowerPoint.Salary: R65,000 to R85,000 per month depending on experience.
