Key Areas of Responsibility Business Development: Identify and Pursue New Opportunities: Actively seek and capitalise on new business opportunities to drive company growth. Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and industry stakeholders through effective networking and account management. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business plans for both new and existing channels to optimize growth and profitability.
Broker Onboarding and Management: Broker Acquisition: Recruit and onboard short-term insurance brokers to expand the company's broker network and achieve growth targets. Broker Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with brokers to ensure long-term partnerships.
Executive Support: Strategic Support: Provide strategic support to Excom by evaluating and finalizing business opportunities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth execution of new ventures. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant legislative requirements, company policies, and procedures to maintain operational integrity. Contractual Agreements: Facilitate the negotiation, finalization, and legal review of contracts and agreements to safeguard the company's interests.
Qualification and Skill Requirements Matric Tertiary qualification (Business/Commercial/Management/Marketing) A minimum of 5 years' experience in the short term Insurance Sector or Financial Services Industry Proven record of experience in working with Brokers Strong Market and business development experience Sales management Negotiations at various levels Valid Driver's License Internal and External Client Networking Key Account Management Stakeholder management
