Business Development Manager - Industrial Chemical Raw Materials

Minimum requirements for the role:A tertiary sciences or related qualification is preferred but not essential.Previous sales experience having sold chemical raw materials into the manufacturing industry is essential.The successful candidate must have good people skills and be able to interact with all levels of staff.Must be computer literate.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Managing and developing new business looking at different manufacturing industries on a national basis to introduce a range of chemical raw materials that are being imported into SA.Developing and implementing sales initiatives and strategies to target customers for new business development.Managing, developing and continually reviewing sales plans to support the customers needs and actively taking market share from competitors.Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with new and existing customers.Regularly reviewing market trends, identifying growth opportunities and aligning key account strategies accordingly.Offering technical assistance to customers in order to grow customer confidence and customer relationships.Identifying the causes of customer complaints as well as providing appropriate solutions.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
