Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager, responsible for searching and exploring both the local and international markets for new products and trademarks to expand and strengthen the company's position in the market. Searches for joint ventures and co-marketing opportunities. Negotiates with relevant authorities and organisations to ensure the company's products and services are recommended. Investigates existing marketing and business practices and recommends opportunities for improvement within the company. May also be responsible for the identification and initiation of development projects. Assists in achieving the development needs through investigations, viability studies and liaison with local authorities.Responsibilities Provide strategic direction in relation to the attainment of growth within existing and new markets and or customers and ensure that the business delivers on this strategy Provide strategic direction in relation to markets, customers, competitors, regions, countries that we should be inMonitor and evaluate progress on all projectsEnsure that the business delivers on the set strategyFormulate the business growth strategyProvide strategic direction and input into the next 3-5 years Provide direction to teams and clients to achieve resultsEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the required design Deliver at least 1 project a year to the Logistics Achiever Awards eventDevelop new and existing client relationships and ensure either new business or sell on work Provide support in and/or lead contract renewals Monitor and evaluate sales pipeline and ensure all timelines are met in securing the deal. Identify and develop new client relationships or potential acquisitionsEnsure a healthy sales pipeline taking sales cycles into account and the future growth required by our clients divisions The development of strategic customer relationships and ensuring alignment with our customer's objectives Constant competitor and market monitoring in terms of shifts at our customers, competitors and the supply chain industry both locally and abroad Identify, chase down and monitor the clients that we want Manage and oversee resources to all work within CSD and monitor progress Ensure that utilizations of staff are in line with budget and that maximum utilization is achievedBuild and continue building a team culture that ensures absolute alignment to the greater goals of the businessSkills Need to be able to research and identify new business opportunitiesA strong understanding of business fundamentals is key for BDMsCommunication and Interpersonal SkillsNegotiation SkillsQualifications 4 Ye ar Degree8 year plus 8 is a must
